Grand Bateau

Fruit of a close collaboration between the Barrière House and Château Beychevelle, Grand Bateau was born in the 80s. The boat adorning the label recalls the mythical drakkar of the prestigious Château Beychevelle, sister company of the Barrière House. Developed by our oenologist from the best selected lots in our partner properties, Grand Bateau embodies the nobility of the great Bordeaux. Philippe Blanc, Director of Château Beychevelle, brings us his precious support for the final assembly of Grand Bateau. Flawless and consistent quality, unique style combining a solid frame, the beauty of the fruit and sweet spicy notes, Grand Bateau is fashioned to please both young consumers and amateurs.

Grand Bateau White

The rigorous selection process undergone by the grand vin results in the creation of its younger brother, Amiral de Beychevelle.Despite being made from young vines, Amiral de Beychevelle benefits from the same growing techniques, meticulous sorting, and traditional barrel ageing. It has the same elegance and finesse as its older brother, but reveals its character more quickly, offering wine-enthusiasts the full vivacity of its youth. It can be kept for up to fifteen years, depending on the vintage.

Grand Bateau Red

This masterfully crafted wine offers both to the nose and the palate an abundance of rich and ripe flavours (spices, black fruits, cigar box aromas and toasty new oak). It is opulent, almost decadent in style, with exotic fruit overflowing from the glass ! Perfect for drinking now and will age beautifully for another 5-6 years.Ideal with with red meats (magret, game, rack of lamb, …) and cheeses. Of course, excellent as well as pre-dinner drink!
